A fursuit is a hand-crafted costume that typically depicts an animal character. While most commonly seen being used by the furry community, a group of people who have a collective interest in anthropomorphic animals, they can also be used by cosplayers outside of the community! Most fursuits you see will be the owners own character that they use to represent themselves in the fandom, however some may also be of popular anthro characters from media! Fursuits are carefully crafted by people such as myself, fursuit makers, to bring characters to life! Each one is individually unique and customized to the commissioners wishes, and with so many different styles and techniques the possibilities are endless!

I personally work in what is known as the 'Western Toony' style, which typically features either 2D or 3D mesh eyes, foam bases (either cast or carved), and more species accurate face shapes, though still leaning towards that cartoony style! Other styles include realistic, which are suits that are accurate to the animal from the eyes to the fur patterning, or Kemono which is  a typically eastern style depicting large domed eyes and small muzzles that might resemble something from an anime! Styles are not limited to these however, and its best to do some research into the various fursuit makers that offer a wide range of different styles to find one that you love!
